Redruth’s  only charity for Redruth people has celebrated another successful year. St Rumons club kindly hosted the latest Community Awards night when an audience of  100 representing  35 local groups were entertained by Lanner and District silver band. Chairman of the Trustees, Mr Chris Hailey welcomed those who he called ‘workers at the heart of our community’.He then proceeded to present cheques with fellow Trustee Alan Jewell providing a lively and amusing commentary.

Thanks to almost £7,000 groups will now be able to acquire chairs, jackets, camping equipment, trikes, display boards, picnic bench, kitchen equipment and storage facilitie.

Groups from all corners of the TR15 TR16 area covered by the Trust were represented. The Trust  has been running  the community  awards since 1993 and is continually striving to include more local groups to benefit.
